Nalka was founded in 2009 and currently has twelve companies in its portfolio, supported by 25 co-workers in Stockholm and Munich. Nalka is owned by Interogo Group.

Interogo Group is a foundation-owned investment group with its parent company, Interogo Holding AG, based in Pfäffikon, Switzerland. The group’s investment strategies include Private Equity, Long-Term Equity, Infrastructure, Real Estate and Liquid Assets, with Nalka being part of the Private Equity strategy.

Interogo Group’s main purpose is to build financial strength to ensure the long-term independence of the IKEA Concept. Interogo Group’s strategies are advised and managed by dedicated investment and business support teams in Europe and the United States. As of 31 December 2025, Interogo Group had assets under management of EUR 33,6bn.

Nalka is in an expansive phase. In 2022, we made a strategic move to enter the DACH private equity market and to establish our Munich office. Today, we have built up a team of five co-workers in the Munich team and are now seeking a junior investment professional to join us.

We have significant capital committed to support our investment strategy and the expansion of the DACH organisation. This is a great chance for an ambitious investment professional to enter a successful and growing team in Munich. Compensation is competitive, however finding alignment on culture and values will be equally important for any candidate to be considered.

Nalka was formed in 2009, but the history behind our business stretches back to 1943 in Älmhult, in the south of Sweden, when IKEA was founded. Our heritage is a major asset in relationship building and deal sourcing, and our owners and management are rightly protective of the values and identity we represent.

The role

We seek to hire a junior colleague with a long-term perspective and will provide you with excellent career development opportunities. For us, culture is an important differentiator in the private equity mid-market, and given our special heritage, a strong team fit is a must.

Responsibilities:

• This role incorporates all aspects of the deal cycle, from research to origination to execution, including active portfolio involvement in strong cooperation with the rest of the team, interacting closely with colleagues in the Nordics
• Assessing the attractiveness of potential investment opportunities through financial modelling as well as conducting market and strategic analyses
• Initiating and driving sector searches
• Working closely with the local MD and the other team members to ensure that all investments are executed, managed, and supervised to the highest standards
• Hands-on value creation in the DACH portfolio as this is growing: formulating and implementing value creation plans, driving value creation initiatives together with management teams and preparing the companies for exit. The flexible investment mandate offers significant opportunity to drive a wide range of long-term strategic initiatives

Your profile:

• Strong educational background (bachelor’s or master’s degree) from a reputable university, including international experience
• 2-4 years prior professional M&A experience from a top-tier investment bank, management consulting, accounting or private equity firm
• Exceptional commercial judgement and financial analysis skills with a hands-on working attitude
• Highly numerate, with a strong willingness to learn
• Down-to-earth mentality and a good sense of humour
• Resilient individual with empathy and team-player attitude
• Sceptical mindset balanced with a bias towards optimism
• Humble personal style, but with a proactive and ambitious approach to tasks; bringing creativity and enthusiasm, together with authenticity, transparency and integrity
• Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
• Organised and thorough in approach with highest attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to guide and lead advisors and other participants in deal situations with conviction
• Ability to quickly take on responsibility and independent management of due diligence workstreams
• Native German language skills, excellent English skills and an international mindset
