Nalka portfolio company Uniwater has acquired Hy-Ram Engineering, a specialist company which manufactures and rents out products and equipment for water distribution networks. This marks Uniwater’s second acquisition in the UK, following the acquisition of WCI earlier this year.

Hy-Ram Engineering designs, manufactures and hires out tools and products used to connect, isolate and repair pressurised water mains without interrupting supply. Many of Hy-Rams proprietary products have become a market standard in the UK and are frequently specified in tenders. Customers include water utilities, Tier-1 contractors and wholesalers across the country.

“Hy-Ram has now joined Uniwater, and we are proud and humbled by what this means for both of us. Tim Hallam and his team combine technical depth with real integrity. With AMP8 and AMP9 driving sustained investment in water networks and maintenance, Hy-Ram gives us a strong platform to grow in the UK”, says Carl Berglund, Head of UK and Business Area Director at Uniwater.
